Essequibo allrounder Ricardo Adams grabbed 4 wickets for 44 runs then returned to stroke a half century as Guyana took first innings points from Jamaica in the third round of the Regional U-19 3 day tournament in St. Kitts.
At Conaree, Guyana won the toss and elected to insert the Jamaicans who were bowled out for 218. Mindley top scored with 90 (8×4, 7 x6, 58b, 70m), Lug made 51 and Spenser 24, Adams grabbed 4-44, Gudakesh Motie Kanhai 4-59.
Guyana replied with 271 all out in 68.2 overs to lead by 53. Kamesh Yadram led with 67, while Shimron Hetymer and Adams made 55 each, Ashkay Homraj 33 and Motie Kanhai 21. Powell captured 6-45 and Lewis 2-71.
Jamaica ended the second day yesterday on 41-3 batting a second time; trailing by 2 runs.
