Fruta Conquerors defeated their junior club mates, Fruta Conquerors ‘A’ 3-1 to lead the point standings with an impeccable 18 points from 6 games when action in the Fruta Conquerors U-13 Football League continued at the Tucville Ground, Saturday morning last.
Strikes from Jermaine Garrett (13th), Erwin Garraway (22nd) and Diarra Thomas (39th) did the trick for Fruta Conquerors with Gideon Dazell narrowing the margin of defeat with a 10th minute strike.
Also on Saturday, GFC and Santos battled to a 2-2 stalemate after Joshua Forte netted a double for the former team in the 36th and 47th minutes with Randy Roberts (8th) and Naseem Algenon (37th) bringing the situation back to equilibrium.
The action continued yesterday with Renaissance defeating Western Tigers 2-0 on the back of strikes from Travis Ramnauth and Teon Vankenic in the 9th and 32nd minutes respectively, while Camptown FC was gifted a walk over after Pele FC failed to turn up for their encounter.
Meanwhile, Renaissance sits in the second place with 15 points having lost just one game, while Western Tigers have so far won 3 of their 6 games, lost 2 and drew one to occupy the third place on 10 points.
When the action continues on Saturday July 20th next, Fruta ‘A’ will go head to head with Camptown FC while GFC will tackle the other Fruta Conquerors team. Western Tigers will then come up against Santos in the final game that day. There will be no games on Sunday 21st.
