Dear Editor,
If David Casavis’ response is a reflection of how he researched his book, then his book is complete trash and we will have to withdraw any praise given to him for exposing things there. Our comments never attacked his source or content, in fact our conclusion was harsher as we sought to raise national conscience on what people like Casavis think of Guyana and Guyanese. Readers should look for his inserted racial comments about “Indian” and “Black” people and about Guyana as a whole. We are all so divided in this country that we cannot see beyond a criticism of AFC, APNU or PPP. David should have read the comments generated by Guyana Independent Voices before he attempted to defend.
Investigation is critical to any writing.
With regards to the alleged corruption at GT&T, anyone could do what respectable people like Chris Ram did – that is, call GT&T and find out. If you have doubts about my integrity, check with my former employer, check their website or just call the shareholders.
And yes, that book is being written.
There are very FEW people in the world that will take responsibility for people below them – I am proud of my decision which ended a tenure in which I helped to build this nation.
Yog Mahadeo
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
