Cyclists attached to the Flying Ace Cycling Club were recently the beneficiaries of some much needed cycling equipment.
The presentation was made by founder and coach of the club, Randolph Roberts, at the Club’s office in New Amsterdam Berbice.
Roberts stated he notice a number of cyclists from the club were in need of new equipment and cycling gear. He stated that the club recently held a successful take away lunch and proceeds from that venture were used to acquire the equipment.
The cyclists were the recipients of tires, tubes, chains and sprockets
among other equipment. Among the cyclists present were Syborne Fernandes, Elijah Brijader and Audrel Ross.
Roberts also took the opportunity to thank a number of persons who assisted the club in some of its recent ventures including the Regional Chairman, David Armogan, Police commander Assistant Commissioner Brian Joseph, Traffic Officer of B division Superintendent Calvin Brutus, Furniture World, Bounty Farm and the Business community among others.
The cyclists are now preparing for the national cycling championship. (Samuel Whyte)
