Debutants Viva-La-Force was among the latest schools to register wins when the Ministry of Culture, Youth & Sport (MCYS)/National Sports Commission (NSC)/ AL Sport & Tour Promotions Windball Cricket Championships continued recently, at Wales Community Centre Ground.
In the opening encounter, (Boys) – Vive -La Force beat Vreed-en-Hoop by 3 runs. Debutant Vive -La Force led by a swashbuckling 34 from Dev Seepersaud which included 5x6s reached 62-1 off the allotted overs.
Vreed-en-Hoop replied with 59-5, Paul Samaroo 13, Balram Persaud & Shemar Thomas 12 apiece. Brendon Bowling 2-12.
Patentia and Vreed-en-Hoop then played to a tie – Vreed-en-Hoop compiled 35-2. Patentia in reply, ended on 35-2, Asif Rambarran 18.
Georgetown Girls
Redeemer beat St. Pius by 7 wickets – St Pius 42-2, Serena Hope 10. Redeemer 43-3, Natasha Thomas 13.
West Ruimveldt eased to a comfortable 15 runs win over Thomas More. West Ruimveldt made 48-0, Shellon Bobb 23, Alexandra Mc Roy 11. Thomas More 33-5, Tasha Wilkinson 10.
St. Agnes completed a similar victory over Redeemer. Redeemer 39-3, N. Thomas 15. St. Agnes 40-3, Deslyn Leitch 14, Darreel Dorway 10.
