Quincy Critchlow
During her time at this named private school, treason accused Carol Munroe said Quincy Critchlow -the main witness in the treason trial-was her student but had been expelled for making threats against teachers, this included herself and the school’s headmaster. At the school’s graduation ceremony he was insulting and heckled the guest speaker who was at the time Major Bruce Munroe who spoke about the army being an aptitude choice for a career. At another school function, Munroe said Critchlow was put off school premises by security since he had been banned. He however returned with other teens and “bricked down” the school, later going to the police station alleging that the school’s owners had pulled a gun on him. Munroe said she and several other teachers had to give statements in relation to the incident.
Several months later, Munroe said, Critchlow came to her home. Though unsure of his purpose and even a bit scared, she spoke with him. He apologized for his behaviour while at school and was now requesting assistance from the Munroes to get into the army. All the necessary assistance was rendered to the youngster, Munroe said. He had to some extent become a son to the Munroes as they assisted when he had to go on army courses and other functions which contributed to his development.
Critchlow was however kicked out of the army, Munroe said and according to him it was because he had an ongoing relationship with a female soldier who a senior officer had an interest in both professionally and sexually. It was however revealed that Critchlow was however discharged dishonourably because of charges dating back to 2009 from a training base in England. He was also accused of insubordination, breaching SOPS, tattooing himself, inappropriate conduct with a Cadet and pulling a loaded weapon on another soldier in the interior, she related.
Karlene Alexander
Karlene Alexander, Quincy Critchlow’s mother played a silent role in the conspiracy. She alleged during her testimony in the treason trial to seeing certain movements while employed with the Munroes. In 2004 the woman had been jailed for murder, Munroe related. She was released in January of 2009; the same year that Critchlow requested from Munroe a job for his mother, since no one was hiring her given her profile. Though unqualified, Munroe said the mother was hired and placed under the guidance of a teacher in the nursery department of the school which was temporarily set up at the Munroe’s home.
Evidence showed, Munroe said that while the mother worked at the house, Critchlow frequently visited his mother and was given access to the house unknowing to the Munroes.
Lieutenant Colonel Sydney James
Army officer Sydney James-the second main witness in the treason case- has had tension with Mr. Munroe since 2000. This can also be said for Mr. Wharton she related, but the sensitive grievances between the army men, though disclosed, she wished not printed.
Connecting the dots
Nonetheless, Munroe said that from the break-ins, the characters roles and the evidence, it is clear that these persons were paid to destroy the school even if it meant sending them to jail for a crime they did not commit.
Critchlow was a troubled child who was discharged from the army with no alternative. He orchestrated a plot with those said wealthy and influential political elements and took the false evidence to James who already had personal issues with Munroe and Wharton. Critchlow’s mother facilitated that plot, Munroe indicated, by helping to gather personal information on the family.
On the day of the arrest, Critchlow’s mother called a (named) teacher who worked at the school via telephone to say, “Watch the news; look at how I will bring down these people.” Munroe said, “She was bold enough to tell another teacher (name given) in February of 2011 that the whole thing was a set up and that she was sent since June of 2009 to ensure that this set up was in place.”
The owner of the private school Mrs. Munroe said belongs to an East Indian woman whose father (both persons named) is closely connected with those seated in high places. The father of this woman is very politically active, even hosting and facilitating massive rallies for a particular party and playing an integral role in that party’s 2011 election campaign in the Soesdyke area.
It is not hard to see how they managed to use their political affiliations to pull it off, and like a game of chess using pawns to facilitate it all. Munroe said that immediately after their arrest, they learnt that the said persons had skipped town. While it was only speculation before, Munroe said all the pieces finally fit and all the breadcrumbs lead right back to the school.
She said the treason allegation did not work and now they continue, “Trying to frustrate you into leaving all that we have built. We have been quiet, we have been silent and have been trying to move on, but we will not be silent anymore.”
