Police arrested three men who were in a house at Perseverance, on the Essequibo Coast, on Wednesday afternoon, after they found five pounds of cannabis hidden in a PVC pipe.
One of the men was identified as a 23-year-old, welder, while the other two are from Onderneeming Sand Pit and Perseverance. The owner of the house which was searched has since claimed ownership of the cannabis, when police officers questioned him.
The men are in custody at the Anna Regina Lock-up.
