Dr. Johan DaSilva won the senior category while new-comer Randy Sarjoo copped the Novices division at last Saturday’s Precision Pistol organized by the smallbore section of the Guyana National Rifle Association (GNRA).
Dr. DaSilva recorded 181 points with 2 Vs at 10 and 15 metres ranges in the one-day competition at the TSU ranges, Eve Leary.
Smallbore captain Dale Hing copped the second position with 172 points and 2Vs while Chad Melville was third with 170/1.
The novice category shot at 5 and 7.5 metres saw Sarjoo coming out winner with 190 points and 6 Vs. Another debutant Dominic Sundar placed second with 185 with 3Vs followed by Anand Gomes in third place with 181 points and 2 Vs.
Saturday’s competition was the third Precision Pistol Shooting competition for 2013 as the local shooters prepare for international competition later this year.
