Debutant Kalyan Tiwari captured the EXEIM MINING SUPPLIES inaugural Medal Play golf tournament Saturday at the Lusignan Golf Club.
Tiwari shot net 62 from gross 90 playing off 28 handicap to stun his opponents competing in for major competition. For his effort Tiwari carted off a trophy, a pressure cooker, 2 boxes of balls, gloves and putter grip from the sponsors.
Second place went to Troy Cadogan who shot net 67 from gross 94 playing off 27 handicap. He took home a Trophy, a blender, balls and grip as his prize package.
Kishan Bacchus placed third with net 69 from gross 84 handicap 15. He won a trophy, balls and tees.
Best Gross was William Walker with 76. He took home a trophy, golf shirt, balls and tees.
Patrick Prashad was Nearest to the Pin and for his effort he secured a trophy, balls and tees.
Managing partner, Jerome Khan, who is also LGC’s president said he was extremely happy to be sponsoring the tournament and thanked the players for participating.
He said his company was looking forward to a long relationship with the Lusignan Golf Club.
Meanwhile, the prestigious Scotia Bank Medal Play tournament will tee off Saturday at the LGC.
Players will play for valuable prizes including trophies and cash prizes which will go to charity.
