Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) managed to hold on for a draw against Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) when action in the Georgetown Cricket Club first
division 2 day competition continued yesterday at DCC.
The visitors resumed on their first innings overnight score of 119-8 and were bowled out for 155 in 50.2 overs. Steven Jacobs top scored with 46 and Shaquille Williams supported with 32. Christopher Barnwell grabbed 4-39 and Trevon Griffith 3-64. MSC were asked to follow on and were tottering at 55-6 when play was halted on the final day. Nikosie Barker was unbeaten on 21 while Steven Sankar was on 7. Barnwell took 3-16 while there was one wicket each for Andre Stoll, Trevon Griffith and Orlando Sturge.
Scores: DCC 264 all out, MSC 155 and 55-6.
