Nearly everyone around concurred that the driver was drunk.
The eyewitness also stated that another pedestrian, a child, was also hit by the vehicle. Ten- year- old Christopher Abrams was also hospitalized but was released later.
“He [the driver] came out and walked away but was quickly brought back to the scene by the girl’s relatives”. He was arrested and taken to the Central Police Station, where charges are expected shortly.
