Members of the Private Sector Commission (PSC) met yesterday with representatives of A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition, Hadfield Street, Georgetown.
In what was described as a very amicable meeting, the two sides discussed a wide range of issues including the relationship between the two organizations; the upcoming budget, matters pertaining to Region Ten and that Region’s agreement with the government.
Representing APNU were Brigadier David Granger, Leader of the Opposition; Joseph Harmon MP, and Lance Carberry.
The PSC representatives were Ron Webster, President; Ramesh Dookhoo, John Willems and Elizabeth Alleyne.
The representatives on both sides agreed to meet more frequently-at least once every quarter-and even more regularly when the situation demands.
This was the first meeting of the year between the two groups, with the next meeting scheduled for next Wednesday, which will deal primarily with the budget.
It is expected that both sides will have more representatives at the upcoming meeting.
