They were released late yesterday afternoon but are to report to the police on a regular basis.
Meanwhile, a post mortem examination on Monday last has revealed that Holder died as result of shock and hemorrhage due to multiple stab wounds.
On Friday last, his battered body was found in the compound of St. Phillips Green Church. It bore several stab wounds. The man’s slippers were found under a nearby tree with freshly used condoms wrapped in tissue and a knife.
Holder, a commercial sex worker, was last seen alive on Thursday night last, leaving King Street and heading towards High Street, Werk-en-rust. One of his close friends said three men had approached them both, requesting to do ‘business’. However the friend declined, while Holder left with the men indicating that they were heading to High Street.
Based on a statement given to the police by Holder’s friend, two men were detained. However a source close to the investigation has revealed that there was not sufficient evidence to press charges against the detained men. Investigations are ongoing.
