The National team left the shores of Guyana yesterday morning with all eyes set on winning the Caribbean T20 tournament which gets underway in Trinidad and Tobago, tomorrow.

“I expect the senior guys to lead from the front, as long as we can play as a unit we will be the number one team at the end of the competition”, added Johnson.

Meanwhile, Captain, Veerasammy Permaul urged the players to give of their best and said it’s an honour to lead Guyana. Also present yesterday morning was Director of Sport Neil Kumar.
Guyana will face Combine Campuses and Colleges in their first game on Monday at the Queens Park Oval before they play Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago at the same venue. The second leg of the tournament will be played in St. Lucia.
