Speeding Land Cruiser ploughs through hospital wall
Staff and visitors to the Bartica Hospital were treated to a bizarre spectacle at around 07:00 hrs yesterday, when a land cruiser ploughed through a wall at the hospital’s Accident and Emergency Unit.

The door to the Emergency Unit was also damaged, but fortunately, no one was hurt.
Kaieteur News understands that the driver had just come out of the gold fields with a woman who was seeking medical attention for a stab wound when the mishap occurred.
He alleged that his brakes failed as he drove into the compound, resulting in him losing control and crashing into the building.
This incident occurred in the face of Administrative restrictions being put in place to control the manner in which patients would enter the compound.
