Play in the Queen’s College Badminton Tournament continued on Wednesday at the school’s badminton courts, while the Marian Academy Primary School Tournament started on Tuesday at the school’s courts and has attracted a large number of players from the school.
In results from the matches played on Day 2 in the QC tourney:
Boys Singles:
Cecil Abrams defeated Omari Joseph: 21-13, 21-11
Girls Singles:
Varsha Boodram defeated Kara Abrams: 21-18, 21-16 in the Quarter-Finals and also defeated Nadine Jairam in The Semi-Finals: 21-13, 21-12
Ambika Ramraj defeated Arian Kayume in the Semi Finals: 21-18, 21-11
Meanwhile, in first day results:
Boys Singles:
Darnell Benn defeated Omari Joseph: 21-18, 19-21, 21-18
Girls Singles:
Cindy Sookwah defeated Miriam Gaskin: 21-11, 21-5
Ambika Ramraj defeated Crystal Dey: 21-8, 21-11
Arian Kayume defeated Elmira Persaud: 21-10, 21-2
Nadine Jairam defeated Cindy Sookwah: 21-6, 21-7
The Finals and Third Place Play off are set for today.
Meanwhile, The Marian Academy Primary School Badminton Tournament started on Tuesday at the school’s courts and attracted a large number of players of the school who participated.

Rachael Choo-Shee-Nam defeated Reba Ramlal: 11-9
Angelie Balram defeated Leah Balkaran: 11-5
Sarah Samad defeated Arwen Garraway: 11-8
Rebecca Ramlal defeated Yasmin Mohamed: 11-5
The tournament will continue next Tuesday, October 16 and also the Secondary School segment will start next Tuesday.
