Two nurses were placed on a bond for one year after they appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine- Beharry yesterday, charged with assault. The court was told Wanda Day and Coretta Cornett allegedly assaulted each other at the Georgetown School of Nursing.
Both defendants admitted the assault.
On Friday September 14, Day and Cornett who both attend the Georgetown School of Nursing got into fisticuffs after Cornett took out a cell phone and shot a photo of Day, much to Day’s annoyance.
A report was made to the police station and the nurses were later charged. The Magistrate placed the two women on bond to keep the peace.
