Guyana now has its second international pageant title, after Theology student Soyini Fraser was crowned the 2012 Miss United Nations.
The pageant was held in Miami Florida on Saturday night at the Miccosukee Resort and Gaming Lounge.
Fraser outdid 52 other beauties from around the world to capture the crown. The competition got underway with the orientation ball on last Wednesday evening to be followed by the preliminary competitions; talent, swimsuit and evening gown competitions.
The national costume competition was held on Friday.
