Football comes alive tomorrow at the Camptown ground, First Street, Stone Avenue, Campbellville
when Gordon ‘Dice’ Van Rossum hosts the Annual Camptown Football Classic in aid of raising funds for the club, Sunburst Camptown.
The excited Classic will see six teams with the inclusion of two junior teams vying for supremacy from 4:00pm.
Camptown U-14 team and an unidentified team will open and set the atmosphere for the other matches which will be contested between New York All Star Celebrity and GT All Star (second games) and Camptown Present and Camptown Pass (third game).
Orgainser of the Football Classic, Gordon ‘Dice’ Van Rossum revealed to this publication that he donated football gears to the club and promised that the event will be an annual one to aid in the development of football in Guyana especially among the youths.
Van Rossum further disclosed that a trophy will be rewarded to the winner of each match.
After the Football Classic, an after party which is sponsored by Galis Crew, Janitorial Supplies, JHM Baber Shop and Abby’s Touch of Magic Salon will be held to further assist with the fund raising activities for the Club. Admission: $800.
