Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Futsal Football Competition
Action in this year’s Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Futsal Football Competition continued on Saturday night, at the New Silvercity Secondary School Tarmac with eight more matches being completed.
Part of the action in the clash between The Amazings and Exodus on Saturday night at the New Silvercity Secondary School.
In the opening game, The Amazings and Exodus drew 1-1 with Travis Leitch’s 3rd minute strike putting the former ahead, before Dorwin Daw responded in the 16th minute to level the proceedings which remained that way until the final whistle.
In the second encounter, Top Class gained full points after registering a 2-1 win over El Dorado. Bunny Hamilton netted both goals for the winners in the 3rd and 18th minutes, while Andrew Lambert scored the consolation goal for the losers in the 13th minute.
Speightland and Rough & Rugged then played to an exciting 1-1 draw with Jamie Wilson’s 10th minute effort opening the scoring for Rough & Rugged, before Michael Ramdehol responded in the 17th minute for Speightland.
Pokerburg then edged Cherokee Park 2-1 through goals from Leon Gishard and Uroy Major in the 5th and 7th minutes respectively, while Trevor Smith in the 16th made the lone response for Cherokee Park.
Eagles and Trainline Warriors then played to a 2-2 stalemate.
Delon Charter 5th and Eon Rodrigues 18th were the players on target for Eagles, while F. Major responded with a brace in the 13th and 17th minutes respectively.
Goal Getters then hammered Scheme 4-1.
K. Bristol netted a pair in the 18th and 19th minutes, while A. Moore 11th and K. Bristol 17th added to their tally.
Ryan Crandon 3rd minute strike was the lone response for Scheme. Ripping Bullets and Barsenal encounter ended in a 1-1 draw. Swan Seaforth 12th minute effort gave Ripping Bullets the lead, before Matthew White gained the equaliser in the 18th minute for Barsenal.
In the final game of the night, Star Boyz beat Street Vybz 3-1.
Malvin Benn led the way with a double in the 3rd and 15th minutes, while Ralph Alexander added the other in the 9th. Street Vybz got their consolation strike off the boots of Dornane Angus in the 6th minute.
