Jumbo Jet Auto Sales have partnered with the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club
(RHTY&SC) and the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) to sponsor a two-day Inter Zone tournament in West Berbice.
The BCB is this year placing special emphasis on the game in West Berbice with a view of unearthing new talent in that area in all age groups.
Chairman of the Board’s Special Events Committee and PRO Hilbert Foster informed that a pair of two-day matches would be played at the Blairmont Community Centre and Bush Lot Grounds.
Players from the West Coast of Berbice would be divided into two zones as the BCB strives to expose the younger players with the experienced ones in the longer version of the game apart from the popular T20 and 40 over matches.
Foster, who is also the Secretary of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club disclosed that in this year the Board would also be hosting a T20 and 40 overs knock-out tournament in West Coast Berbice.
The veteran cricket Administrator expressed gratitude to Mr. Nazrudeen Mohamed of Jumbo Jet Auto Sales and the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club on behalf of the Board for their investment in the development of the game in the Ancient County.
Interested Clubs are encouraged to contact the Berbice Cricket Board on telephone number 333 2375, Shabeer Baksh on 327 5355, 327 5649, 628 6767 or Carl Moore on 614 8364 for more information on the upcoming tournaments which would start shortly.
