The consistency of National junior cyclist Raynauth Jeffrey has been catching the eyes
of many former and current cyclists as well as fans and supporters.
Jeffrey, who has hit the scene with a bang and has remained consistent to the extent that he has chalked up a few big wins against his more accomplished opponents, was on Sunday last rewarded by overseas based Guyanese, Elvis Budhram, himself a former cyclist.
Budhram presented a complete uniform to Jeffrey as a means of encouragement and to ensure that he looks the part when competing.
Making the presentation on Sunday last after the completion of stage two of the annual Cheddi Jagan Memorial 50-mile road race on the West Demerara was winner of the veteran category, Talim Shaw. Jeffrey placed 4th overall and 2nd in the junior category. He won the first leg held in Berbice two weeks ago and is looking forward for the third and final stage set for Sunday March 25, 2012 on the Essequibo Coast.
