A Chinese National was robbed on Saturday evening while waiting on the traffic light to change at Ogle on the East Coast of Demerara.
According to reports, the man Kim Chow was driving his car and was in the company of a female companion when he stopped at the traffic light waiting for it to change.
While in the line two men rode up alongside him on a motorcycle and held him at gunpoint. This publication was told that one of the men came off of the motorcycle, ran around to the passenger side of the car, grabbed the woman’s hand bag and cellular phone before jumping back onto the bike. The couple was relieved of a small amount of cash, their cell phones and a digital camera.
When the traffic light changed the men made good their escape.
The matter has been reported and investigations are ongoing.
