New Silver City Secondary (NSSS) and Christianburg / Wismar Secondary (CWSS)
became the latest teams to secure full points when the Edward ‘Screw’ Richmond Memorial Schoolboys Football Competition continued on Thursday afternoon in Linden.
Over at the Wisburg ground, New Silver City defeated Marcia Craig’s Educational Institute (MCEI) 4-1.
On target for the winners were Jonathan Fredericks, who netted a double in the 2nd and 16th minutes, while Mark Hope (34th) and an own goal off the boots of Lorenzo Deane (42nd) completed their tally, while Scottie Obermuller (69th) made the lone response for MCEI.
Over at the Linden Foundation ground, Christianburg / Wismar Secondary squeezed past Wisburg Secondary 3-2.
Omeion Wills brace in the 8th and 17th minutes and Yannick Simmons’ effort in the 44th accounted for the winners’ tally, while Devon Miller’s pair in the 7th and 60th minutes was not enough to save them from defeat.
The tournament continues on Tuesday March 6, while those that were scheduled for yesterday and today have been postponed.
