The man who was caught in the Plaisance cane-fields after reportedly shooting a pregnant woman- Anessa Woolford, 32, and Loushonda Beckles on Mashramani Day has been remanded to prison.
Danny Rajkumar, 20 years of Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara, made his appearance yesterday at the Sparendaam Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Alex Moore.
It is alleged that on Mash Day last, he discharged a loaded firearm with intent to kill Woolford and Beckles.
The charges were indictable and the accused was not required to plea.
It is also alleged that on the same day he had in his possession a firearm while he was not the holder of a valid firearm license.
Rajkumar was also charged with unlawful possession of ammunition and seven counts of robbery under arms.
He was remanded to prison until March 07, 2012.
