The Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) Special Events Committee would this weekend continue their 2012 coaching Programme when they host clinics for spinners and batsmen at the Albion Community Centre.
The spinners’ clinic is set for tomorrow while the batsmen clinic will come off on Sunday, both events are set to commence at 09.00 hours sharp.
Chairman of the Special Events Committee Hilbert Foster is asking all the selected players to make a consorted effort to be on time and appropriately attired in their uniforms. The clinics would be conducted by Coaches Julian Moore, Hubern Evans, Winston Smith and Michael Hyles Franco.
These two clinics will be the final two before the BCB’s Junior Selection Committee headed by Leslie Solomon names a 40-man squad for the Junior Elite Training Programme which would be launched next month in preparation for the upcoming Inter County tournament.
Clinics for wicket-keepers, fast bowlers as well as coaching sessions in Blairmont, New Amsterdam/Canje, Lower and Upper Corentyne have all been successfully completed along with the Academy in West Berbice.
