DEAR EDITOR,
I can almost hear your agony in your editorial in Wednesday’s (Feb. 22) issue. I agree with you fully on the negative influences of Dancehall and Chutney music. Our country of tomorrow is being destroyed at the altar of “Cultural Revolution”.
On Monday night last, Norman McLean, Roshan Khan and myself were on a panel on Channel 11 (NCLO programme) discussing Moral Education. I lamented the same concerns you raised, and added that parents are doing little to help. Parents seem to allow their children to do anything so long as the parents get their “space” to do their own thing. In other words, for many parents, children just happened along and would have to happen through life.
I grieve too. Like you, I speak out. And, like you, I will continue to do so.
