The Demerara Cricket Board is advising all Area Associations that its Inter Association Under-15 competition for 2012 will commence very shortly and Associations are requested to start preparing their teams in anticipation for this annual competition.
In a release the DCB stated, “We are cognizant of the current inclement weather and the deadline for the naming of our team to compete in the GCB inter county competition scheduled for next month and would announce the fixtures sometime in the forthcoming week.”
“In addition, our Demerara coach, Orin Bailey, will be in contact with all Area Associations to arrange his schedule for coaching sessions with the Under-15 and the Under-19 players in each area for the coming months. Please note that the under-19 competition will follow the Under-15 competition and, thus, the Under-19 players are also placed on notice.
Players are encouraged to conduct some physical fitness drills during the wet season in preparation for the official coaching sessions,” the release concluded.
