The Guyana Badminton Association Open Men Doubles Tournament concluded on Monday at the Queens College Badminton Courts.
The Finals saw the National Junior Players, Nicholas Ali and Caribbean Silver Medalist 13 year old Narayan Ramdhani winning in fine style by defeating the seniors Gokarn Ramdhani & Marlon Chung 23-21, 21-9.
The young pair showed their skills development during the years by playing a fast and strong game, placing their mark as the Open Men Doubles Champions.
“I am very happy to see that their game have improved so much during the years as I have been training them myself and now I am convinced that they are the top Badminton Players in Guyana. They have a very long future ahead, Gokarn Ramdhani the GBA President said.
The Presentation was made to the winners and runner-ups by Mr, Conrad Plummer, Chairman of the National Sports Commission, who also gave brief remarks to the players and fans.
Meanwhile, the Mashramani Junior Tournament is scheduled to begin on Friday 17th February 2012.
