Based on their own investigation they said they were told that the man is wanted by the police for questioning in relation to the murder of 54-year-old Sita Reddy. Reddy was found with her throat slit in her home on February 2, last.
According to Rambissoon’s family, they have informed the police that he is away in the interior and they will turn him in to the police as soon as he comes out. However, the man’s relatives have expressed fears for the man’s well-being.
This publication was told that on the day of Reddy’s funeral one of the woman’s relatives ordered Rambissoon out of the funeral gathering, suggesting that the man was responsible for the woman’s death. It was only then relatives claim they realized that Rambissoon was a person of interest in the matter.
However, the man’s relatives said that he was away on a fishing trip at the time the incident occurred.
Initial reports are that on February 2, 54-year-old Sita Reddy of 139 Second Street, Craig was found lying in a pool of blood in the bottom flat of her two-storey house. The discovery was made by the woman’s husband, Norman Reddy, around 13:30 hours when he returned home from running errands.
The woman’s son-in-law, Ryan Harimal, who spoke with this publication, related that the woman’s husband arrived home and started calling for her but got no response. It was only after the woman’s husband returned to the bottom flat of the building that he found his wife’s body.
The police were immediately called in.
The woman’s husband was detained and questioned. This publication was told that the woman and her husband were going through a divorce.
