The President and Executive Members of the Berbice Cricket Board have sent out congratulations to former West Indies Vice Captain Roger Harper on his re-election as President of the Georgetown Cricket Association.
A release from the BCB stated that they, “…would like to offer profound congratulations to former West Indies Vice Captain Roger Harper on his re-election as President of the Georgetown Cricket Association. As a cricketer Roger Harper dedicated himself fully to the game and as an administrator he has proven to be a visionary, dedicated and hardworking leader who leads by example.”
The release further stated, “There can be no doubt that cricket in the capital city has benefitted from the work of the Roger Harper led Georgetown Cricket Association Executives and their re-election to office unopposed indicates the confidence that clubs have in them.”
“Guyana’s cricket needs dynamic leadership and heaven forbid if cricket organisation like the Berbice Cricket Board and the Georgetown Cricket Association were not doing the work they are currently doing.”
“The Berbice Cricket Board would like to develop a closer relationship with the Georgetown Cricket Association and to share our success stories with them and all other cricket association in Guyana as it is our desire to play a major role in lifting our cricket out of the doldrums.
Congratulations Mr. Harper and may your new term be as successful as the last.”
