Beginning tomorrow, several streets in Alberttown will no longer accommodate two-way traffic.
The new arrangement is to facilitate a freer flow of the increasing traffic in the area and is done in accordance with section 49 of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act with the approval of the Minister of Home Affairs.
With the new arrangement vehicles travelling along First Street will not be allowed to proceed west between Cummings and Albert Streets, while vehicles travelling on Second Street will only go west between Albert and Cummings Streets.
On Third Street, vehicles will proceed only east between Cummings and Albert Streets.
Traffic along Fourth Street will only go west, while it will go in the opposite direction on Fifth Street.
Only west-bound traffic will be permitted along Sixth Street, between Albert and Cummings Streets.
On Sendall Place only south bound traffic will be permitted between Croal and Hadfield Streets, while on Robb Street between Orange Walk and Albert Street only east bound traffic will be permitted.
Vehicles will only be allowed to proceed north along Albert Street between Regent Street and North Road, and south along Light Street between Regent Street and North Road.
Cummings Street will see traffic only proceeding north between Church and Lamaha Streets, while only south bound traffic will be permitted along Peter Rose Street between Lamaha and Laluni Streets.
In Kitty, traffic will only be allowed to proceed south along Alexander Street between Sandy Babb and Barr streets.
