Announces squad for opening Regional 4-day encounter
The Inter Management Committee (IMC) headed by Clive Lloyd has named two teams to battle in a practice
match today in preparation for Guyana’s first game against Leeward Island.
The game will take place at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence from today the 28th January to 30th January, 2012 from 09:30hrs to 17:30hrs daily.
Ramnaresh Sarwan and Assad Fudadin will lead the two teams.
SARWAN’S XI will come from Rajendra Chandrika, Trevon Griffith, Ramnaresh Sarwan – CAPTAIN, Steven Jacobs, Royston Barrington, Christopher Barnwell, Ransford Beaton, Keon Joseph, Raj Nanan, Anthony Bramble, Devendra Bishoo, Jason Sinclair and Vishal Singh. FUDADIN’S XI will come from: Assad Fudadin – CAPTAIN, Sewnarine Chattergoon, Shemroy Barrington, Leon Johnson, Chanderpaul Hemraj, Gajanand Singh, Darwin Christian, Amir Khan, Brandon Bess, Veerasammy Permaul, Zaheer Mohamed, Paul Wintz, Seon Daniels, Leroy Scott and Clinton Pestano.
Meanwhile, the IMC has announced their 13-member squad to represent Guyana versus the Leeward Islands beginning on February 3. The squad to be captained by Ramnaresh Sarwan includes Rajendra Chandrika, Sewnarine Chattergoon, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Narsingh Deonarine, Leon Johnson, Assad Fudadin, Christopher Barnwell, Darwin Christian, Devendra Bishoo, Veerasammy Permaul, Brandon Bess and Ransford Beaton.
The IMC has also announced that all the other members of the squad are on standby for the first game.
