Several teams registered victories when action in the Guyana Softball League Preparatory T10 Softball cricket tournament got underway over the past weekend at several venues countrywide.
Over on the West Coast Demerara at the Leonora Primary School Ground, Wolf Warriors demolished Surprise Warriors by 51 runs after the former team won the toss and elected to take first strike.
Wolf Warriors amassed191-5 in 10 overs and then restricted their adversaries to 140 all out in 9.3 overs. Rambo XI of Parika then defeated Leonora Youths SC by 4 wickets.
The winners replied to a total of 95 all out in 9.1 overs and cantered home after notching up 96-6 in 9 overs. Invaderz then destroyed Windsor Forest Unexpected by a huge 177 runs while Ruimzeight XI cruised to victory over Omesh XI by 16 runs.

LINDEN: MALE OPEN: 10/10 KNOCKOUT:
Hillfoot Shatters made light work of Totally Moulding (1) by 3 wickets and South Star defeated Vipers XI by 3 wickets.
FEMALE OPEN: 10/10 KNOCKOUT in Linden:
Oraima Females cruised to victory over South Star Females while All Star Conquerors made light work of Totally Moulding (1) by 57 runs.
MALE OPEN: 10/10 KNOCKOUT:
Rockaway XI defeated Young Guns by 74 runs and Starboys XI defeated John Cena XI by 6 wickets. Martion SC ‘A’ defeated Fazal Kayume XI by 3 wickets.
Also in the Over 35 category at the same venue Success Masters XI got the better of Fazal Kayume XI by 70 runs even as Enterprise Masters clinched a walkover against Martion Over 35 team.
SUCCESS GROUND:
Success XI defeated Martion SC ‘B’ team by 73 runs shortly before Challengers XI made light work of LBI Top XI by a massive 80 runs. Enmore All Stars also gained a walkover from K&K Warriors while El Commandante thrashed Accomplishment XI by 9 wickets.
Trophy Stall ‘B’ destroyed IBE All Stars by 75 runs shortly before JJ Bengal Tigers clawed past Super XI by 7 wickets.
In action on the Upper East Coast MALE OPEN 10/10 KNOCKOUT:
Helena #1 &2 Vishnu Mandir defeated Mahaica Raiders XI by 43 runs and Nootenzuil XI made light work of Farmers XI by 26 runs. Cut & Run also defeated Young Challengers XI by 41 runs while Cricket Zone USA defeated Supply XI by 4 wickets. De Hoop Bushrangers XI also made light work of Uprising XI while Dundee Kings cruised past Tappars XI by 3 wickets.
FEMALE OPEN 10/10 KNOCKOUT:
Rising stars XI made light work of Enterprise Stars SC by 17 runs while over on the Essequibo Coast in the Male Open 10/10 Knockout tournament El Dorado defeated R One by 10 wickets. Cottonfield SC also defeated Young Warriors by 37 runs while Adventure SC defeated Die Hard XI by 6 wickets. Columbia SC then breezed past All Star XI by 6 wickets. Cottonfield SC was also in winner’s row, defeating El Dorado SC by 9 wickets just before Affiance SC defeated Golden Fleece SC by 9 wickets. In the Over 35 category at the same ground, Golden Fleece SC defeated Airy Hall SC by 7 wickets.
BERBICE ZONE:
Bloomfield SC defeated Letter Kenny SC by 4 wickets and Whim defeated Lancaster by 3 wickets. Bangladesh XI also defeated Ankerville by 5 wickets.
The final two games of the day ended by default as Karibee Boys gained a walkover from Nigg Intruders and Block 4 was gifted with a similar victory over Johns XI
