Drainage and Irrigation workers interrupted a mating ball between two camoudies on Saturday morning in Market Street, Adelphi Village, Canje, Berbice.
While this 13-foot female was captured, the male, which the workers and villagers said was bigger and longer, escaped further into the trench.
The residents had expressed concerns about the gigantic reptiles’ presence in the canal since there are a lot of school- aged children who live in the area.
