Dear Editor,
Georgetown indeed needs an interim management committee since years of trying on the part of the Mayor and City Council have shown that the body is not capable of providing a decent service to taxpayers in the city.
How many times in the past has Government bailed out the M&CC from the hole that they have dug themselves into! It is a downright shame for the Mayor to now to be accusing Government of scheming to put an IMC in place.
This is laughable! I am certain that the citizens of Georgetown will be more than happy to welcome such a move that would solve the garbage problem.
What would it take for the Mayor to admit that under his rule the city has become the garbage city and this is due to his and the council’s incompetence?
Please do us all a favour Mr. Green and accept that you failed the citizens of Georgetown and bow out.
Jones Rodwell
