Dear Editor,
I wish to convey my deepest condolences to the wife, children and other relatives of the late Dr. Moti Lall who passed away on January 10 at his Republic Park, East Bank Demerara residence. He will surely be missed by all those who knew him both as a politician and as a medical professional.
Dr. Moti Lall will be remembered for his modesty and his willingness to assist those in need. He served with distinction and dedication in a number of areas including that of a Member of Parliament for the PPP/C of which he was a member of the Party’s Central Committee.
As a professional, he played a pivotal role in the Tuberculosis Programme in Guyana and was the Head of the Chest Clinic. He served in several committees including that of Chairman of the Housing and Planning Authority of the Ministry of Health.
It was a great honour to have been associated with him as a professional and as a member of the PPP of which he was one of the party stalwarts. The PPP and the entire country is poorer for his passing.
May his soul rest in peace!
Hydar Ally
