– Police not in receipt of case file
The Preliminary Inquiry (PI) into the murder of 72 year old Robb Street resident, Clementine Fiedtkou-Parris, was once again postponed when the matter was called up last Thursday.
Appearing before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell are four men who are accused of killing the elderly woman for a $400,000 fee.
The postponement was caused after the prosecution was not in receipt of the case file.
Orin Hinds, 35, of Burnham Boulevard, Mocha, East Bank Demerara; Cleon Hinds, 34, of 23 Middle Road, Albouystown; Kevin October, 29, of Second Street, Agricola, East Bank Demerara, and Roy Jacobs, 34 of Evans Street Charlestown are to make another court appearance on January 17.
The allegation against the four defendants is that they were allegedly hired by persons unknown to kill Parris.
The woman and her brother resided at Lot 42 Robb Street. Police report stated that on the day of the killing two men went to Parris’s home requesting to have a word with her.
On hearing the request of the persons to see her, Parris headed towards her door where she was shot repeatedly. The attackers escaped in a waiting vehicle. Parris was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital but later succumbed to her injuries.
