Dear Editor,
Freddie Kissoon in his January 1, column in Kaieteur News said that even though he is against the death penalty he is glad that Saddam Hussain of Iraq was hanged.
Of course it did not bother Kissoon that the U.S and Britain bullied Iraq and that Saddam’s hanging was really murder and that under Saddam’s ruling Iraq was the most progressive Muslim country where all other religions existed freely, and where women were more liberated. Iraq had a high standard of living.
Freddy regards Saddam as a diabolical monster that killed untold numbers of people but he has not seen the two Bushes(father and son) and Tony Blair as diabolical for bombing Iraq to the Stone Age and killing hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis .
The same edition of Kaieteur News wrote a glowing article about Chief Justice Ian Chang where the learned lawyer prevented the deportation of a Guyanese citizen by birth to the U.S.A.
So I guess should the Americans try to get at Justice Chang for dispensing justice Freddie would be happy since even though he opposes what he regards as elected dictatorship here in Guyana he supports American bullyism ,what a strange character.
W.P George
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
