Sohan Busjit, 20, of Liverpool Village, Corentyne will have to spend the next 18 months in jail, if he is caught. He was found guilty by magistrate Fabio Azore at the Whim Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday on a charge of unlawful and malicious damage to property.
He is accused of damaging his stepfather’s house at Liverpool Village on Friday October 11, 2011. According to Prosecutor Corporal Roberto Figueira, on the day in question Busjit damaged a set of window panes and sash windows, the property of his stepfather Charles Mayers.
The convict, who was described as a regular drinker, is said to be a regular abuser. Busjit was arrested and charged. He was granted bail but never returned to court.
