-Legendary Coach, Phillip George passes
The basketball community has been plunged into mourning following the passing
of legendary coach, Phillip George also known as ‘Coach Man’ and ‘One-Foot’ sometime yesterday. Details of the George’s passing remains sketchy as information is being gathered.
However, Kaieteur Sport would like to join with the basketball community is expressing sincere condolences to the family and friends of George, who was Head Coach of the Bounty Colts Club at the time of his death.
George has extensive experience at the helm of the club and at the helm of several national basketball teams in his career. He would be remembered by all as one of the most consistent and patriotic enthusiast in the sport in Guyana.
