Cavalier Sports and Tour Club will be hosting their last walk race for the year after a staging numerous competitive activities countrywide tomorrow (Sunday) at 06:30hrs from Barama Plywood Factory, East Bank Demerara to Soesdyke Methodist Church.
Local race walkers are invited to step up to the plate to dethrone the local living legend Rudolph Mitchell to break his 117th consecutive victory mark.
However, as the National Race Walk Champion (Mitchell) attempts to enforce his dominance again he is expected to be challenged by other formidable opponents like Jeremy Cornelius and a host of newcomers this Sunday. Trophies, medals and other prizes will be at stake in all categories for the final walk race for 2011 season.
