Georgetown Turf Club to stage race Meet on December 18 at Mocha
A seven race horserace Meet is schedule for Sunday December 18 at the Georgetown Turf Club at Mocha Arcadia, East Bank Demerara.
The main event will see horses competing in a 1200m gallop for an attractive $200,000 prize in the Banks DIH sponsored H & Lower race. Competitors in I & Lower and I3 & Lower race will be vying for 160 thousand and 140 thousand dollars respectively.
The VD Auto Sale K & J Class race has one hundred and twenty thousand dollars to be won, while the Hotel Tower sponsored L & Lower race will see riders and their mounts dashing around the Mocha Arcadia racetrack to cover a distance of 1200 meters for a purse of $110,000.
The winner of the Un-classified race will walk away with $100,000. Cart Horses are also expected to compete in the Cart Horse race for an $80,000 first prize.
