Dear Editor,
I would like to endorse the observations made by M. Maxwell in his letter in a recent edition of your paper on the Donald Ramotar Cabinet. It reflects the same incompetence that Jagdeo put on people except there is the addition of Juan Edghill. I wonder what in Edghill’s resume qualifies him for such a technical post as that of finance. If Edghill had to apply for a regular accounting job, would he be qualified for it?
I notice that the Minister of Trade, Tourism and Industry position is still vacant. This is surprising considering how critical that position is.
Keith Burrowes appeared to be Jagdeo’s go to man for a long time and for a number of things from GOInvest to Guyexpo to the Georgetown City Council fiasco couple years ago.
I noticed a few weeks ago that he clearly seemed to be endorsing Donald with an article published in the Chronicle on some group called Friends of Donald. I wonder if the delay in the Tourism portfolio is to actually go against the grain and to appoint a technocrat.
