The three finals of the Male and Female Bakewell sponsored nationwide softball tournament will be played at
the Ministry of Education Ground (formerly Softball Ground) on Carifesta Avenue on Sunday December 11.
Last Sunday, Regal defeated Adventure Sports Club of Essequibo in the quarterfinals before beating Rockaway in the semi’s. They will face Herstelling who defeated Memorex of Berbice in the quarter finals, then Die Hard of Essequibo in the semis.
In the female category, Mike’s Wellwoman defeated 4R Lioness and Trophy Stall got past Rose Hall Females in the semi finals, and will now face each other. Floodlights will face Regal Seniors in the finals of the Male Over-40 category.
Quarterfinals results: Rose Hall Females defeated Buxton Stars by 5 wickets. Buxton Stars 74 all out. Rose Hall Females 75-5.
Herstelling beat Memorex by 54 runs. Herstelling 134-9 off 15 overs. Ricky Sargeant 31. Shaffik Ishmeil 24, Roy Jaffarally 4-17. Memorex 80 all out. Dennis Muir 3-18. Vivian Bissoon 3-7.
Rockaway beat Celebrity Times by 29 runs. Rockaway 110-9 off 15 overs. Kumar Bishundial 74 not out. B. Samaroo 2-13. Dilukenauth 2-18. Celebrity Times 81 all out in 11.5 overs. D. Ramoutar 29. Daveanand Samaroo 5-16. Chandrika Haripaul 3-8. Rushie Samaroo 2-11.
