Eight charitable organizations across Guyana got a financial ‘boost’ when the Guyana
Bank for Trade and Industry Limited (GBTI), on Thursday donated $75,000 each to them. The presentation took place at its Head office in Kingston.
The organisations that benefited from the donations were Uncle Eddie’s Home, Central Islamic Organization of Guyana, David Rose School for Handicapped Children, Dharm Shala, Guyana Red Cross Society, The Periwinkle Club, Guyana Society for the Blind and Guyana Relief Council.
The donations are an annual contribution made by the bank to assist the organizations in furthering their charitable work.
According to the Administration Manager, Sean Noel, the bank has been working to assist the people who are in need and who are not catered for. He further added that the donation serves as a motivation to those organizations so that they can keep up their good work.
Cecil Morris, a representative of Guyana Society for the Blind explained how happy he was and thanked GBTI for its kind support.
The bank aims to accomplish a mutually beneficial relationship with its customers by providing efficient and quality services to both depositors and entrepreneurs.
