The Kashif and Shanghai Football Tournament has attracted more sponsors on their 22nd annual
football extravaganza, which will be featuring Jamaican Reggae Artiste Jah Cure and two international DJ’s at the final fixed for National Stadium, Providence on January 1, 2012.
The annual exciting event saw Dale Bascom and Vibert ‘Cookie’ Bernard, both of New York presenting their contribution to tournament.
Bascom donated a quantity of footballs and also the Most Valuable Player trophy to Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major of the K & S Organisation as his sponsorship package for the 22nd annual tourney, while Bernard of Sybil’s Restaurant presented ‘Shanghai’ with a cheque of an undisclosed sum of cash of assist with the successful staging of the event.
The country’s most popular knockout tournament, which is slated for December 10- January 1, received sponsorship from Cell Phone Shack earlier this week.
Fixtures for this lucrative tourney will be available by weekend for both local and international teams that will be vying for the top prize of One Pound of Gold which is
worth four million Guyana dollars.
