Dear Editor,
As we approach the homestretch to national and regional elections, I would like to congratulate the People’s Progressive Party/Civic for electing Donald Ramotar as its Presidential Candidate to lead Guyana to achieve greater accomplishments.
For the little associations that I had with Mr. Ramotar, I can say that he has an unblemished character and is not sullied as the other Presidential Candidate who have been corrupted by self-serving political aspirations and other personal gains.
He has served the PPP/C and the people of Guyana with honesty, simplicity and distinction unlike the opposition’s Presidential Candidates.
Mr. Ramotar has been the rock, the stabilizer and strategist of the PPP/C since in the earlier days and has fought racism, discrimination, oppression and for the return of democracy and pride of the Guyanese people after a pitiful rule of 28 years in government by the then PNC, now APNU. Over the past 19 years, Guyana was taken to new heights and the next five years under the leadership of Donald Ramotar will certainly skyrocket development in Guyana and improve the lives of all its citizens.
The next years will be exciting and I look forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Erica Smith
