Dear Editor,
Regardless of the many lives being lost daily as a result of careless and dangerous driving, especially by minibus drivers, the carnage continues. It is no secret that the minibus drivers drive dangerously on the roads.
They overtake and they stop immediately in front of another; they use no signals, drive in the wrong lanes, abuse the traffic lights, never drive within the speed limits, overload their buses and honk their horns with no consideration.
It annoys me to see the police harassing drivers for minor matters when compared to the obvious dangerous minibus driving.
The police seem to have a special attraction to “flashy” vehicles such as the privately owned sedans and SUVs while the taxis fly past with the criminals and the minibuses with pilots in control. A definition of harassment is now a policeman in uniform.
