The two year old event for Guyana and West Indies Bred horses at the just
concluded Norman Singh Turf Club race meet was sponsored by Republic Bank to a tune of close to $500,000.
The winner took away a purse of $400,000 and trophy over 1100M.
The race was won by Serenity of the Jumbo Jet stable with champion Jockey Yap Drepaul on mount. The race was an even contest with Settle In Seattle of the Shariff Stable with Jamaican Jockey on its back leading the way for most of the distance as they headed into the homestretch, but with about a 100M to go Drepaul opened up on Serenity as it powered through to take first place from Seattle of The Shariff Stable, Red Cloud and Rock Sonna.
